Easter Fun

Today we colored Easter eggs but I think it is more appropriate to say, Today I did some science experiments with the kids. All we have here are brown eggs (but don't quote me, I'm sure somewhere in Italy you can get white ones) and I had never colored eggs with just vinegar and food dye. But don't worry, on the last egg I remembered to look on Marthastewart.com for instructions. The eggs did color and my kids don't know the difference so they had fun. It was funny at how worried they would get whenever I would put an egg in the cup or in the bowl to dry. "eeeeeeeh! careful mom!". Abbey was scared of the eggs, don't ask me why. Hopefully we can still make deviled eggs tomorrow and the eggs didn't get too pickled from sitting in vinegar so long. like every holiday, now I know and next year will be better :)

The carton came with 8 eggs and 2 chocolate eggs, kinda fun. But I'm not sure which type of chicken it is.

At least pretend like your having fun, please?

Courtney, try to contain your children's enthusiasm! Those pictures are classic- they look so bummed!

That is the perfect title! I just looked at the pics again, and I can't stop laughing. I think the fact that the eggs aren't super bright colors just adds to the whole Auschwitz effect! So funny! Oh, and the deleted comment was mine- it was signed in as Nils, and I didn't see until it was too late.

Haha, those are the funniest pictures. They do like they are in a concentration camp or something. Hopefully they were a little happier eating the chocolate eggs.
