such a fun date!!!

For the last year and a half I've wanted to either go snow shoeing or cross country skiing, two winter activites I have never tried. I have asked Ryan to come with me many of times and he scoffed at me like "why would I want to go walk around in the freezing snow?" I recently found out that Aspen Grove has $5 Friday nights. That includes rentals and access to their trail and just a note that the trail is well lit. I told Ryan I was going with or without him and he told me that of course he would go. I was quite surprised when he agreed to going but was excited all day once I finally figured things out for a babysitter.
I was a little nervous because it looks like it could be difficult but it was so fun. It was so peaceful to be up in the mountains, under a (almost) full moon and surrounded by snow, just gliding along on some ski's with my sweetie. It was fun to do and I loved skiing along next to Ryan and just chatting. If you live close enough to Aspen Grove, you have to go, snow shoeing is also only $5 on Friday. Ryan actually suggested we do the loop twice but we needed to get home to relieve the sitter. I'm sure we will be going before the season is over, and if you need someone to go with you, I'd be happy to. :)

this is either before or after I fell. I was a little timid on the downhill, the dark with no depth perception made me kind of nervous.

as you can see, I'm wearing a head light and a red backpack. I was standing to the side waiting for a group to pass and one of the guys asked if I was first aid.
I replied "no, why"
"You just looked official, I thought you were first aid"
"why, do you need some mouth to mouth?"

It's funny to make single BYU students squirm.

what a fun date night! once again...wish we lived closer so we could go skiing together! We stopped at REI yesterday when we were in SLC and the cross country equipment is on huge sale! We didn't buy any, but I thought I would pass the info on to you anyway.

Ha ha ha, you are so funny! I love the response to the first aide. This looks like such a fun date. I don't know if I would be in shape enough to do it (although a round shape would roll well, I maybe could make it).
