spring break

spring break was the week of Easter.  And lucky me, after having the stomach flu all weekend, I then had a major sinus congestion going on.  I felt like crap but we still managed to do some fun things and enjoy the break.  Sleeping in all week was good enough for me.
 setting up "stores"
day 1: swimming
day 2: trafalga in Lehi and then to Ikea for lunch because kids eat free on Tuesday. thumbs up.
I scheduled a hair cut for Thursday.  That was a very smart move on my part, a 2 hour break was just what I needed by the 4th day of spring break.
 it's official, she crawls.
day 5: trampoline gym.  We payed (too much) for an hour of fun and it wore them out perfectly.  And of course they had a great time.
Ryan's parents were in the area on Friday so they babysat for us while Ryan and I went to cross fit and then on a date to Magelby's.  This chocolate cake pretty much undid everything I had just done at cross fit.  but worth it.
Monday the kids were back at school and Charlie and I started out spring cleaning.  no more treasures under the couch or hidden in the cushions.

March

my view from the treadmill: a messy coffee table, Charlotte playing Just Dance Michael Jackson, and Aiden sound asleep
 Aiden's 6 month check up

keeping ourselves entertained while we wait for the doctor
 crazy hair day
 decade day (greaser?)
 Charlie, being Charlie.
Saturday lunch on a rainy day

cousin Gavin surprised Brody when I picked him up for school.
 playing with our CA cousins
Aiden and I puked for Easter weekend. Easter was a bust.

Abbey's baptism

On March 2nd, Abbey was baptized.  This is one of my favorite milestones, I love attending my kids baptisms.

We had a luncheon after and enjoyed time with family.  She got her own scriptures, a case, a blanket that represents the Spirit, shoot I know I'm forgetting stuff.

girls day

for the girls birthday, my sister Corine took the girls to get pedicures.  Aiden, Charlotte and I tagged along and indulged as well.

 they loved it!

their birthday present!

Abbey's B-day

Abbey turned 8 on February 20th.  But she wasn't so luck and had to go to school.  I took creamies and juice boxes to her class to hand out to her friends.  She was in French so I had no clue what anyone was saying but she loved having me stay for a while and loved showing off her baby sister even more.

We had dinner at her favorite restaurant, Maria Bonita's.
The lady in the pink shirt is so nice.  She hugs us every time we come in and calls the girls "princess" and the boys "champion" in a spanish accent.
Abbey is our Aiden whisperer.  She is very sweet and is always concerned about others.  There is a boy in her carpool who often bugs her and hurts her and makes her want to cry.  So I did the logical parenting thing and told her to hit him back once really hard and that will get him to stop, "but Mom, I don't want to hurt him and make him cry."

Cloe turns 11!!!

Lucky for Cloe, her birthday often falls on President's day so she gets the day off of school.  This year it did so we went cross country skiing with Grandma Brown
Aiden and Charlotte fell right to sleep as I pulled them through the snow.

Cloe opening presents from both of her Grandma's.
and dinner of her choice at Costa Vida
her teacher sets aside time for Birthday celebrations so I brought some treats into the class.  One thing I wasn't expecting that I thought was so neat, she had me tell something about Cloe and then the kids got to raise their hand and share things that they like about Cloe.  I was so glad I got to hear everything they had to say, i was so proud of her.  She is a really good kid.  Loving, patient, non judgmental, gorgeous and very smart.  I love my Cloe and I love spending time with her.

lovers holiday

the traditional valentines mailbox that contained a daily treat and note.  Surprisingly, their favorite was when I made a list of "10 things I love about you".  I liked that too.
our romantic candle lit dinner.  Ryan and I went out to dinner one year on Valentines and I would much rather stay home and spend it with the family, I love it.

Charlie and Aiden

I love spending my days with these two girls. There are a couple reasons why I haven't put Charlie in preschool but the main reason is because I love having her around.
Aiden hanging out while Clo does her homework
 family skate night
 Miss eyelashes watching the snow
Cloe and Brody were doing hip hop classes once a week but the teacher had to cancel the class.  Bummer because Brody loved it!

I like to think she is giving me kisses but really she is ready to nurse.  And my chubby cheek resembles a boob?
